Since the area to the North of Mitchell Way (between Mitchell Way and Wellington Road) has been cleared of vegetation, this has forced the rabbits to move from their natural habitat. Wellington Road has become infested with Rabbits especially at night. They enter gardens at night and chew away at what they like to eat. Unfortunately, its what I would like to eat too.
I found this great website on how to deal with them. http://www.how-to-hunt-rabbit.com
In the interests of expediency I may have to resurrect our trusty old air-rifle and dispose of a few. Travel down Wellington Road at night and your car lights will identify at least 30 wild rabbits. The ideal time to take them out.
Not surprising that we see so many birds of prey circling over the area.
