Reland’s contracted “security” company!

Think it’s really fantastic that Reland have employed a security company to patrol the site and especially the decaying Officers Mess area. The presence of such a company should deter vandals and thiefs.

What I do find totally unacceptable is that their four wheel drive vehicle is being driven on the playing vehicle and chewing up the grass, which ruins any goodwill the company is generating.

And what is worse he is choosing to drive on the path that was laid recently that connects the Commercial site adjacent to the Runner Bean Gym to the Residential Area. All I ask is why, when we have a perfectly good road.

I plan to contact Reland directly about this and see if we can find an appropriate solution – fitting of a Bollard maybe.

  1. This was brought up at the last Parish Council meeting, that some one was driving over the playing fields.

They asked if you saw this happening, to take details of the vehicle and report them to the police on the 0845 number. Not sure what the police could do after the fact but hopefully have a word with them to stop the practice.

It was noted that when a sewer was broken in the village, the Reland dump truck took the ‘short cut’ across the fields!

Let us know what Reland had to say about the security taking a ‘short cut’?

  2. Reland said they would contact the Security Company and ask them to keep off the grass.

They also said the Parish Council has NOT contacted them.

Plus, if anyone sees the company still driving on grass they should contact Reland immediately.

This is the path built without planning permission directly onto a road, with no safety barrier! Nothing changes!

  4. Mike don’t understand your comment lot’s of pathways have no barriers
It’s up to the individuals to use common sense.
