UR – Co-operative Opens in Parade Square!

The modern, larger and more accessible Midland Co-operative has opened in Upper Rissington today. Various pictures below.

As yet it is unconfirmed what will be happening to the old Co-operative site in Farman Crescent.

A NEW Cotswold supermarket has been opened by a local scout group.

The Midcounties Co-operative Food in Upper Rissington opened its doors to a brand new eco-friendly store, creating seven new jobs, on Wednesday, (April 12).

The 1st Upper Rissington Scout Group unveiled the impressive new store joining three others and a gym on Parade Square, after relocating from Sopwith Road.

The 3,000 square foot store features a modern new look with eco friendly features including LED lighting and energy efficient refrigerators to reduce emissions.

David Zasada, store manager, said: “It was great to have the scout group officially unveil our brand new store on Parade Square and welcome our customers through the doors.

“We’re pleased to be working with local suppliers with the new best of our counties range and reducing our carbon footprint with the store’s new eco-friendly features.”

  1. Good to see all the units occupied in the Parade Square. This is what we want a thriving, prosperous village with supported amenities.

  2. Yesterday there was a surveyor looking round the old Co-op, taking measurements and making sketches. Someone is interested in purchasing it from the Developers 🙂
