RLHS presents: RAF Brize Norton – Over 80yrs of flying operations – Cancelled

Due to high winds from storm Eunice tomorrow (up to 70mph), the committee have decided that it is best to CANCEL tomorrow afternoon’s talk for safety reasons. We have rebooked the talk for Friday 25th March at 2.30pm – same venue. We are very disappointed, but have to adhere to the weather warning and advice to STAY AT HOME. Please let people know who may have been planning to come and who are not on our mailing list.
Many thanks, and look forward to seeing you all on Friday 11th March at 7.30pm – details will follow
__________
When & Where: Friday 18th February at 2.30pm at Upper Rissington Village Hall
Following on from the excellent talk a few weeks ago on Stowe Landscape Garden, we now have another lined up for you all. RAF Brize Norton – Over 80yrs of flying operations by Trevor Jackson. Trevor served in the RAF for 29yrs, serving in various places at home and overseas. His talk will chart the activities of Brize Norton from WW2, through the cold war, USAF and todays RAF operations.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday 18th February at 2.30pm at Upper Rissington Village Hall again. The roadworks on at the moment at Upper Rissington are due to finish next week so should not affect us on the 18th.
COVID – as we don’t seem to be shaking this new variant off, we would suggest that wearing masks and taking a lateral flow test on the day would be a wise precaution. Many thanks.

Sue Brown
