I am sure everyone is aware that the Parish Council is cash rich. The latest precept £66,700 was paid into the bank this month which means the HSBC bank account now stands at £127,802.93 and £85,000 in the Hampshire Trust Bank, which means URPC has a very healthy £212,802.93.
Of course money is already earmarked for day to day running of the PC, such as salaries and grass cutting, plus Tree Maintenance once the latest tree survey is complete.
The PC is proactive working for all residents, however, if there are any projects in the village large or small that you believe need addressing, I would suggest you either raise the issue at the Annual Parish Meeting on the 29th May or at a normal Parish Council Meetings. Better still, write to the parish clerk or even myself and I will forward it to the whole council.
Everyone serving on the Parish Council is here to make Upper Rissington a better place for all and I would also suggest you lobby a councillor you know (list below).
Martin JOHNSTONE (Chairman)
Declan TORRIS (Vice-Chairman)
